On the Memory of Surfaces (ongoing)

One afternoon, I had the urge to go out for a walk and make some photographs. I was strolling by the road near my house, looking for reflections I could translate. For the first time I noticed that while walking, I never really looked at the ground that I am walking on, and I asked myself, what do I see when I look at the ground? This brief realization at that moment turned out to be the initiation of an inquiry that filled me with questions about history, land, movement and time. These photographs were then made in different parts of the city on different wanderings.
